Protecting your home or business against Colorado weather is an important and necessary undertaking. We have over 300 days of sunshine, which is great unless you are a paint coating trying to protect a window or railing. Add to that great temperature swings with wet to dry cycles and you end up with one tough environment on everything and everyone. Which is why I buy more moisturizer every year.
Painting exteriors for over 40 years in Colorado, Michael Jacobsen Painting understands what works and what does not. Our process, which follows the proper steps in the correct sequence, is key to a quality outcome. We always begin with a good cleaning by power wash (even the best paint will not adhere to a dirty or dusty substrate) and allow two days of dry time. The, we prep, prep and prep some more. Removing all loose and failed paint is not the most fun part of the job, but the most important. We select the correct primer for each surface, which is best if applied by brush, in most cases. Next, we apply top quality caulking as needed, to prevent water penetration. Finally, we finish with 2 coats of quality paint.
While the above basics work well and have a proven track record, every job is unique. Founder Michael Jacobsen will personally assess your needs and make sure that the procedures and paint systems chosen for your home or business are best suited for the best result. In addition to the technical side of each job you want your house to look great. We’re always ready to apply samples so that when your job is done you will love the way your house or business looks.
When painting for you we take great care with outdoor furniture, flowers and landscape. We also take into consideration children, pets and neighbors. Using top quality paints from both Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams, along with professional application, we can provide you with a paint job that will last through the years and offer great value.
